201g Mosscarr Manchino
Chino was the beginning of my journey with Haflingers. I first met him when he was just 6 months old and began riding him as green 4-year-old. Chino was sired by the first stallion registered in the UK, GB1 Maximilian, and his mum was one of the first imported mares for Austria, 34GB Eger Elsa.
Our bond grew with a partnership that lasted more than 30 years. It was heartbreaking to say goodbye to him in 2022 at the age of 35, but the memories we shared always hold a special place in my heart.

Chino's main passion was for endurance, as he and I traversed thousands of miles together throughout the years. His remarkable talent shone brightly across various terrains, earning him medals at the prestigious Golden Horseshoe on Exmoor multiple times. Chino also showcased his skills throughout Great Britain's mainland, latterly in Scotland, where he demonstrated the impressive versatility of his breed.
Chino's second passion was jumping, showcasing his bravery and enthusiasm. Over the years, he jumped both solo and with various partners, always eager to take on new adventures. His impressive gallop to halt made him a standout in Working Hunter classes. Chino's love for the sport truly shone through every leap he took!

Chino's talents flourished when he was introduced to side saddle where he achieved remarkable success. He proudly represented his breed at the Side Saddle National Championships multiple times and showcased his skills for Great Britain at the World Show in Austria in 2000. His dedication and accomplishments in this discipline highlight his exceptional abilities and passion for the sport.
Chino may not have been the biggest fan of Showing or Dressage, but his talent shone brightly in both disciplines. Time and again, he found himself top of the lineups, showcasing his undeniable skill and versatility. His ability to excel, even in areas outside his preferred interests, volumes about his dedication and talent. Chino's journey a testament to the beauty of embracing challenges and achieving success.
