Hello and welcome from us all at Otztaler Haflingers.

Otztaler has been in the wonderful South Lanarkshire countryside in Southern Uplands of Scotland since the Autumn of 2006. We started out down in the Midlands at the Silvretta stud in Worcestershire, but due to a move by our employers we moved 300 miles north in October 2006. We are lucky to live surrounded by acres of grouse moor, so have miles and miles of hacking all around us and some wonderful neighbours with a meneage that has the most stunning views you're ever likely to find.

Although we look out on miles of open countryside we are only 40 miles south of both Edinburgh and Glasgow and 60 miles north of Carlisle. We have easy access to the M74, which means we can still make it down to the Midlands in around 4 hours !!

Otztaler is currently home to 8 Haflingers. First there are the boys, Mosscarr Manchino (Chino), Earendil Ahoshta (Ash), Otztaler Wicasa (Cass) and this years baby Otztaler Amakai (Kai).

Then there is all the girls. Head of the girls is Oxnead Saffron and she is joined by her daughters - Otztaler Sakira, Otztaler Savannah, and Otztaler Sakiya.

We're extremely proud to breed Haflingers in Scotland and love keeping busy by looking after all the horses and also helping to organise the Breed Show and serving on the Haflinger Society of Great Britain committee.
